PAB's commitment to the customer goes beyond the delivery of a high-quality product. We offer on-farm support to our customers. A support team of respected veterinarians
and production personnel are available for on-farm service of PAB customers, helping them improve their efficiencies in all phases of production. Training is provided and a farm specific program can be set-up with a PAB Service Representative.

*EBV MANAGEMENT
PAB boar studs house the most current and best-performing genetics available from PIC. Our inventories are managed to utilize boars with the best EBV (estimated breeding value) possible. The EBV is the genetic worth of a boar's genotype for a specific set of traits, such as lean growth rate, feed efficiency and meat quality. Use of this management tool translates to more profit potential for the customer.
*COMMERCIAL AI PIONEER
PAB has been a pioneer in the commercialization of swine artificial insemination in the United States, establishing their first boar stud in 1994. We are the biggest, longest-running PIC affiliate boar stud in the U.S, which gives clients the peace of mind that they are working with a reputable industry leader.
*LEADING EDGE TECHNOLOGY
PAB utilizes the most productive and efficient technologies available. Our relationships with international experts in swine reproductive physiology keep us on the leading edge of AI technology. These experts also audit PAB studs annually. PAB customers can be assured that we are using the methods, techniques and equipment that best allow us to supply them with a product of proven quality, consistency and performance. PAB is now utilizing Minitube of America's SpermVision Computerized Semen Assessment, which will further enhance the quality and consistency of semen PAB's customer's have come to appreciate. PAB was the first to adapt such powerful technology.
*HEALTHY STUDS
PAB sells semen from only healthy boars. We can supply the customer with semen from PRRS negative studs. Along with strict isolation/acclimation procedures for new introductions, monthly serology and weekly health checks, all semen is tested prior to shipment via PCR (polymerase chain reaction), which is a very sensitive test for the detection of viral RNA. Diligent monitoring of health in the stud and of the semen reduces the chance of introducing potentially economically significant disease to the customer's herd.
*CONTINGENCY PLANNING
As the largest commercial boar stud in the U.S., with over 1700 boar spaces on 4 different sites, PAB is equipped to deal with a possible stud closure. In the event of a stud closure, we rely primarily on our own system to maintain semen availability to customers. In effect, we maintain our own backup supply. Also, as a PIC Affiliate Boar Stud, we have access to PIC's Affiliate Contingency Plan.
*SAME DAY DELIVERY
PAB's dedicated drivers deliver semen to the producer's farm the day of collection in a controlled environment. We have the largest, longest-established same-day commercial semen delivery service in the U.S. This same-day service ensures the
customer is getting a fresh, top-quality product that's been handled carefully from the time of collection through delivery to the farm.
*CENTRALIZED STUD LOCATIONS
PAB studs are located in the center of their same-day delivery area. Our route semen doesn't spend the better part of day in the back of a delivery vehicle. This allows us to keep delivery costs down and helps us to maintain product quality between stud and customer farm.
*PROVEN PERFORMANCE
The high level of reproductive performance in the Pipestone System's managed farms (over 90,000 sows) is evidence of the quality of semen produced in PAB studs. We use what we sell!
